Spirits and Circles in the British Isles
The British Isles and surrounding territories have had advanced cultures occupying those lands, for many millennia. Along with that, these areas also have a long history of circles, built by humans.
Before the Pyramids of Egypt, the peoples of what is now Southern England and the Salisbury Plain were building wooden circles. These were likely gathering places for community, educational and/or religious events. They also built round "dome" homes from bat and wattle (sticks and mud), preceding the shape of geodesic domes by quite a long time.
Archeological excavations have shown that some of those wooden circles (such as Woodhenge and the outer ring of Stonehenge) evolved into stone circles. Coincidently, these two circles are near by each other and in the area where many crop circles appear. Some of these circles and other structures in this area show a deep knowledge of the earth as well as celestial geometries and events. Most are located upon magnetic ley lines. It has been claimed that Stonehenge and other circles were wide area gathering places for festivals as well as educational institutions, run by the Druids, some of whom were descended from the Egyptian magicians and pyramid builders.
Before the Romans invaded the British Isles, these cultures built roads for their chariots, like the Greeks. Here we can see a new form of wooden circle - the wheel. These peoples had metals such as copper, lead and bronze and knew how to use porcelain, thus becoming marvelous artisans, both for art and for war. Their artisans also made round bronze shields decorated with colorful porcelain art work.
For eons, the circle was thought to be a sacred geometric symbol, even the symbol of on-going life. Thus, as traffic increased, these people saw the traffic circle as a solution for having a multi way intersection with no stopping. Today, traffic circles abound in many parts of England and neighboring Europe ... as well as here in Arizona.
Along the way, various cultures reported Fairy Rings, Devils Circles, Sarson Circles and Crop Circles. While not always cast in a positive light (depending on what type of God and/or Goddess they believed in at the time) these circles have a long history in this area of the world.
The ancient Celts built their villages in a circle, with circular homes and often met in circles for communal purposes and so when Spiritualism came to England (See our History of Spiritualism Page), Spirit Circles were seen as almost a "natural" phenomenon for these peoples. This was a natural fit with their ancient cultures in modern times.

| The STANDING STONES of AVEBURY CIRCLE
Some of the stones in some of the stone circles in England hold the energy of the Druid "Priests" or Wise Ones who knew, honored and worked with the earth's energies. One of these stones is visable in this photo (taken in year 2000) one such stone standing in Avebury Circle.
The Druids are an ancient clan that existed before the flood of Noah and knew where to be to bring the spiritual knowledge forward into our times ... if anybody would "have ears to listen or eyes to see". These Druids and other Wise Ones from other parts of the world used what are known today as Spirit Circles to gain wisdom from beyond the physical. You, too may awaken the infinite energies of your soul in one of our circles.

This Crop Circle appeared on the 8th of August, 2008.
First of all, you my notice the over all shape of an 8. World wide, even in China, it is felt that 8 is the number of abundance. Thus, the 2008 Olympics in Beijing started on 08-08-08, at 8 PM. So why would it seem strange that such a crop circle might appear - regardless its cause or source?
Some people see the symbol of things coming together. Certainly it has been a hope of the Olympic Games and this particular set of games that people might come together in some new form of unity. Turned on its side, as you might have already noticed, the 8 becomes an infinity; all abundance and a hope for universal love.
And if you might see each small circle as events within life, building larger or focusing smaller, they eventually come full circle, only to transform to the other side of the completeness of infinity. For the creators of this art work, this may be a spiritual symbol representing the geometry of everlasting life and how at death or at life the soul sort of let go, relax, release what it no longer needs, so it can rejuvenate and then become reborn to start a new adventure on another side of, yet within, the Infinitude that some call All-That-Is or the Bosom of God. This, clearly is an intelligent design.
Could the creators of this masterpiece be expired yet inspired and re-energized Druids?

| The Stonehenge Heel Stone

Each Summer Solstice, as the summer season officially begins, the sun rises over this stone, to the east as viewed from the center of the ancient Stonehenge cathedral, university and school. Mathematics and astronomy were among the subjects taught here by the ancient Druids who were discovered by the Egyptian priests from the Temple of On when they had to flee the rising waters of the "Mediteranian Plane" (before it became a sea). This temple was connected, spiritually, to the even more ancient temple of Og or Oz. We all know the story of what happened at the Temple of Oz, don't we? Thus the Wizard and Atlantis are visible no more.
Stonehenge was to take a different path and thus it still stands today, with its stones of the 4 directions, the 12 months and the lunar cycles. Stonehenge is set upon the Salisbury plain in southern England. Southern or southwest England is rumored to be a portion of the old continent of Atlantis. Need I say more?
