Spiritual Economics for Changing Times
Part 1
FOR DISCUSSION:
Experiencing economic bubbles, ups and downs, booms and busts are a part of life and our Spiritual Evolution, both individual and group or societal. We learn much through fear, but even more can be learned through joy! These are powerful emotions. Emotions are meant to flow like water and they do flow in our bodies – not just our brains – and into the world around us. Emotions are electromagnetic and thus radiate into the world around us. Is it any winder that many are now “under water” financially? Why? They have oceans of emotions, that have not been dealt with and so we have a tidal wave sweeping the world.
Spiritually, many of us have buried our real emotions and need to free them up. Love needs to be given as well as received, especially in times such as these. And as a “society” we have signed up to help (not keep) our brothers and sisters as well as ourselves. Yes, you may fill your cup, drink of it and let it overflow to nourish others.
The seed of our experience is thought, magnified through our emotions. According to Edgar Cayce, the “sleeping prophet”, financial depression comes from depressed thoughts which also trigger emotional depression. That is why a few people jumped out of the windows of tall buildings in 1929, forgetting that “This too shall pass”.
I once had a teacher who claimed that “You have all come to the school called Earth to learn about Lack, and then learn how to step beyond it.”
Belief in lack or not enough of what we want or believe we need is the root cause of financial recessions and depressions. Mixed in with these emotions are our personal issues about “disservability” or worthiness. We question whether we are worthy to have more, to be more … even when the soul wants more and wants to know and be it all? (when deep inside it knows that it already is it all!)

Then, from childhood, many of us have picked up internal conflicts about “good” and “bad”. These, too, play their role. There is a vast continuum of creativity between these perceived poles of good and bad … and this is where both God and you live! We live within and between the “positive” and “negative” poles of creativity, at all times.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, in the days of the Great Depression, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”. This is an abundant universe. Fear builds toxins in the body … and in your life; toxins that slow or stop energy flow. And MONEY IS ENERGY … or a symbol and thus a medium of energy exchange. People come together just for energy exchange, always.
HOW TO STEP ABOVE & BEYOND “LACK” … into free flow
Think again. Change your thoughts about abundance, allow the feeling of abundance; in thought, feeling, health, wealth and well being become a part of your energy field and thus in your life.
Affirmations, using the Great I AM, are a help for many people. This term is present, personal, poignant and powerful. Speaking this exercises your subconscious day after day, hour after hour, so that, like the King’s Army, it knows how you want it to respond. You may begin with “I AM Feeing abundant today.” Or you may be thankful by saying “I AM thankful for the love that I feel within me and from others.” A variation on this is, “I AM Thankful for the wonderment and joy of life and living.” Say what you want, tell God, guides, angels, the Universe and the universal forces! They are at your command.
If at any time, it feels like you are lying to yourself, just back off to something like, “I AM Becoming …”! Your inner awareness and subconscious know the truth of you and part of that truth is that you are always becoming something that you were not. Thus, “becoming” is always a truth! Your soul knows that change is the greatest “constant” in the universe! After all everything is made of and with “Living Spirit”.
We also suggest that you drive or walk through areas of abundance, such as a rain forest or a mineral mine or a neighborhood where “well to do” people live. Go where you see and feel abundance. Then, as you travel through your areas of abundance, feel it and breathe it in; make it a part of who you are.
Allow abundance, in all things, not just money, into your life and into your experience.

Energy loves to flow! Money is a certificate of exchange for your energy. Not only are people more healthy when they exchange love and goodness, but also when they are exchanging a lot of goods and services. When economics are totally fluid, structures have trouble dominating. When people exchange freely, no one goes hungry, goes unemployed and no worthy idea goes un-produced. As a result, people feel more worthy and thus become healthier and wealthier in body, mind and spirit.
Greed is the root of the tree of evil – not money. For greed is an extreme polarity and thus fosters the idea of scarcity. Do what you love and love yourself for it, for what you love is God in his/her infinite manifestations of love. Yes, you may fill your cup to overflowing … so you always have more to give, through infinite the abundance of the Living Spirit.
“God Is Alive and hiding in each one of us”. Believe and know this and the Kingdom is indeed yours.
