Mystical Spiritualist Church

Many early churches followed the teachings of Jesus who became the Christ.  Some of these were:

·         Orthodox Catholic of Rome, Roman Catholic Church

o   Which was the "parent" of the  many off spring, called "Protestant" churches

The Mystical United Spiritualist Church was founded by Jack & Ethel Rowe in 1976.  According to Ethel, Jack Rowe had lived a previous life as a Gnostic Christian in Egypt.  The Gnostics  are the people, who according to the Edgar Cayce and other sources, the Holy Family stayed with while they lived in Egypt at the time that they were avoiding the edicts of King Herod.  So it was that Jack must have read  many of the Coptic Christian texts and believed in their philosophies. 

John and Martine Kohlenberger discovered that church in 1991 and found a "home" with Jack and Ethel Rowe, learning much from both.  Thus, it seems that, many of these Coptic/Gnostic philosophies have been (spiritually) resurrected in the Mystical Spiritualist Church; as many were in John's innate belief system by the time he was a teenager, even though he was raised in the Presbyterian church and his grandfather was a German Methodist minister.

Interestingly, as I (John) was recently reading the Gospel of Mary , I find that we follow much of what is put forth in that and other Gnostic/Coptic Christian texts such as the Gospel of Thomas.

EXAMPLE:

In the Gospel of Mary (Magdalene) it is related that ... the blessed one greeted them all, saying, "Peace be with you. Receive my peace to yourselves. Beware that no one lead you astray, saying, 'Lo here!' or 'Lo there!' For the Son of Man is within you. Follow after him! Those who seek him will find him."

In this church, we believe that "God is Alive and hiding in each one of us", as Jesus did, thus we encourage each one to find all people to be born of God and Man, thus each may be called the Son or Daughter of the Divine; as Jesus claimed to be!
