ANNOUNCING
OUR 2009 - Third Annual
SOLSTICE CANDLE LIGHT SERVICE
and HOLIDAY POT LUCK DINNER
The shortest day of the year is also the darkest and it occurs around December 21st, give or take a couple of days, every year and marks the end of fall and the beginning of winter. With the sun seeming to be as far south as it ever gets, this is called the Winter Solstice. This day has been celebrated in cultures around the world for thousands of years.
The Pope set our present Christmas day on December 25th, because it was the day that Christmas fell on in that year in the Roman camander, the day that the Romans celebrated the Solstice or "Saturnalia" - a celebration of the Rebirth of Light!
Thus, we are holding an evening Candle Light Service, celebrating the light within every heart, on Saturday the 19th of December (just before the Solstice ... and Christmas) at 6 PM. We will also celebrate the return and rebirth of new light in our hearts and minds, as we celebrate the Holidays, Holy Days and the coming New Year.
After the service, at about 7:30 PM, we will begin to serve a Feast of Lights Turkey Dinner. The main course willo be provided by the church, with the trimmings coming by Pot Luck from the participants. You bring the side dishes, salads and deserts to go with the turkey, plates, utensils, cups and sparkling drinks, which The Church will supply!
This will be a light hearted feast to celebrate a renewal of the spark of Creator that lives within each one of us.
WHEN: 6 PM on Saturday, December 19th, 2009.
WHERE: Peaceful Heart Healing Center, in Prescott Valley
ADDRESS: 3147 N. Robert Rd. near Florentine
PARKING: In the rear, near the corner of Florentine and Tani. Walk through the wooden gate, to your right along the Garden Path to the front of the building.
NOTE: If you are attracted, you are welcome to come in the light, love and spirit of sharing your Love and Joy to The World!
