WORKING WITH SPIRIT (those energies that are beyond the 5 senses)
Beginning to develope your sixth sense requires practice. practice, practice and not giving up.
How do I practice this? What is "spiritual development"? Can it increase my total awareness?
And, how do the energies of spirit work to enable "psychic" or "spiritual" mediumship, reading, healing and other abilities that seem to be from above and beyond the strictly physical understandings of life?
There are three simple rules for these phenomena that will allow you to understand how they work.
1. All things are in motion, at some level. The ancients called this phenomenon, "Living Spirit".
2. All thoughts consist of electromagnetic (and beyond) energies. Though unseen or undetected by science (so far), they are REAL.
3. All time is in a continuum or field called "now". (Now we're into Quantum concepts, but don't let that scare you away!)
To begin working with your next sense, the next one beyond the 5 that we all agree upon, you need to relax and open your awareness within, the awareness of your heart and soul. The process requires regular practice, just like learning to ride a bicycle or play a piano or paint works of art and may take days, weeks or months, but your dedication will lead to results, whether a .little or a lot. And like an athlete, you need only work toward 7your "personal best" and not be concerned with comparing your attainment to that of others. After all, spiritual growth is personal growth, no matter how you cut it.
Spiritual sensitive's are people who have opened themselves to the energetic experiences that these phenomena produce. All information is available within the vibrations of these universal energies. Sometimes these energies form pictures in the mind, a thought, feeling or a word impression.
People who practice these beliefs become adept at sensing the awareness and feelings of these energies. Thus, they are sometimes called "Adepts", "Sensitive's", "Psychics" or even "Miracle Workers". While it may not seem easy to become sensitive at first, because these energies are very light, very fleeting and very subtle, some give up or abandon their beliefs. These energies, hoiwever, may seem like the slightest breeze on a summer night that you think rustled your hair; but then maybe it didn't. Or, they may be like the hearing faintest sound in the farthest distance that you think you may have heard, but can't be sure. For other people, at other times, this energy may be like the dimmest flicker of an image in the corner of your eye that you swore was there, but, when you look head on, it is gone. Then you may ask, did it vanish or was it even there at all? This is why so many people doubt their own, in-born, psychic and spiritual abilities and senses; or those of others.
So, this doubt and questioning may also be a big issue that the beginning student of spiritual awareness and psychic development may have. This is why we offer our safe, non-judgmental Spiritualist Circles; to help those who want to sense beyond the mists of the well trained mind, to develop their own natural abilities!
Now, the accomplished Adapt or Seer never asks the question, "Did that really happen?" Thus they, instead, throw doubt to the winds of spirit and thus do not doubt their own experience, because they know that to ask or doubt only clouds the answer and the experience, thus it all seems to fade away into nothingness. This is the "mist-ical" (or foggy) aspect of becoming a "mystic".
Why is this? It is simply because, to ask any question engages the linear mind that has been trained to recognize "this" but not "that"; and that's the last thing a student of the divine within or an Adept wants to do. You see, intuition does not reside in the mind, though it is ment to aid the mind and the body. To receive psychic impressions, one has to be out of their (logical) mind, because intuition resides in the psyche; in the soul. Thus, as you connect with your soul, you become aware of more and more.
Thus, Intuition is the ear of the soul ... our Sixth Sense of "knowing beyond the knowable".
